First solo exhibition at the gallery Besada in O Grove from 21March to 6 May 2014. A new serie was presented with more colourful works than in the past. The lines of the horizon are highlighted and a special attention is paid to the landscape representation. The main work in this exhibition is a painting sized 220 x 170 cm. Several white colors are used in it.

There are three reason that come together to explain the title of the exhibition, “White canvas“. Last july an aluminium company where Uxió worked closed down. So now Uxió in a new departure, like a white canvas. On the other side the exhibited serie at the gallery Besada is recent and unpolished, created in 2014.It´s like a white canvas. In addition Uxió has a new white dog that he callas Canvas.

An individual exhibition held from 5 October to 4 November. All the paintings belong to the series Delicatessen for their cleanliness and colour. Some paintings on DM wood size format 38 x 46 form a polyptych of 3.05 x 2.30. Others are made on aluminium with size format 15 x 15 which intend to be a floor tiling. I take advantage of the occasion to pay homage to Cy Twombly, an abstract expressionist painter died in 2011, with an exclusive room d with paintings dedicated to him. The exhibition was an opportunity to present my website uxíolopez.com.

From 18 May to 24 June. A series of Works in small size format – 21 x 13.5 cm which I painted using inks, pigments and even varnishes always on paper and later foam core and besides a big canvas 162 x 162 cm.

Inaugurated on 27 May in an alternative space. Unpublished works that gather works from 1985 and others from 2010, covering a period of 25 years. A video about my creative process is included, filmed by the film producer Mr. Misto.

From 30 April to 31 May. An exhibition organized by the Council of Vilagarcía de Arousa and made up of big size format canvas whose guiding force is the use of white pigment from the aluminium world. From 4 to 30 May. Thanks to some friends from Zarza de Granadilla I was fortunate to meet Jacinta Vivas the owner of art gallery Tea 6. The result of this meeting was the exhibition where I used works in canvas and others on aluminium.

From May to 25 June 2007. Small size format Works 30 x 30 cm and medium 50 x 100 cm on aluminium frame and others on canvas 195 x 125 cm.

From 8 to 30 June 2007. The exhibition curated by Vitor Mejuto, was part of a project including exhibitions of other artists: Francisco Pazos, Vitor Mejuto, Miguel Piñeiro, y Xaquin Chaves. My participation consisited in exhibiting a painting made on aluminium.

My last individual exhibition in Borrón 4 run by my dead friend Luis Silvoso. Some work related to nature in a way, not the way we see it but the way it was conceived and embodied in an intimate way in the studio.

From 8 to 3 November. My first individual exhibition in Vigo. This exhibition, where I found it easy to combine size format 300 x 200 cm with other smaller size format 20 x 20 cm, draws its inspiration from a direct relationship with the flora. The title of the exhibition refers to the paintings aligned horizontally on the walls of the Gallery.

From 15 August to 15 September. The exhibition was held in an alternative space in Vilagarcía. I displayed seven small and big size format paintings, most of them treated with varnish.

From 6 May to 5 June. The Antón Rivas Briones Gallery was opened in 2000 and I was fortunate to be the first artist to exhibit in it. I displayed big size format paintings - 300 x 200 cm – on aluminium frame. I treated all of them with pigments and acids, leaving the aluminium in its natural state. Severino Penelas and my friend Xaquín Chaves wrote the texts of the catalogue.

From 29 to 25 November. Paintings on aluminium – size format 100 x 200 cm and one polyptych 120 x 210 cm and a smaller painting. The text of the catalogue was written by Camilo Franco and the photos were taken by Vitor Mejuto. “The Sacred instinct of not having a theory...“ by Fernando Pessoa outlines the intention of the exhibition.

My first exhibition in this galery was held from 4 December to 4 January. The title 20 x 20 stems from the twenty paintings I exhibited, a size format I continued to use later. The text of the card “Noiseless Expression“ was written by Victor Mejuto.

Exhibition organized in an alternative space. Serie of molds containing foundry sand resins made in Fundiciones Rey in Vilagrcía. These molds had been used to make steel parts for the works in Baldosa Street.

My first individual exhibition was held in Pontevedra from 8 to 23 may 1992. Size format 220 x 190 cm – canvas and cardboard, supports I used a lot in that period. The catalogue includes a short text by Friedrich Hölderlin.

From 17 to 31 July. The exhibition was part of the activities “Summer Sonatas“ celebrating the writer Ramón María de Valle Inclán. A poetry recital by Anxo Pastor was held during the inauguration.

From 9 to 25 November. One of my first individual exhibitions using canvas and paper.

From 8 to 23 May. My first exhibition in Santiago de Compostela. In this exhibition I display works of the series “Squatting toilets“ and “The Meninas“, in addition obscene and provocative paintings showing piss and semen.

In April, using this alternative space, I exhibit collage on paper using old clothes. Since then my priority has been research and experimentation.
